MBChB
I was born and raised in North Taranaki where I was fortunate enough to grow up by the ocean, where I continue to spend a lot of my spare time surfing, fishing and swimming. I attended FDMC before training in Otago and returning to Taranaki. My work interests include acute care, paediatrics, and minor surgery.
My partner and I recently welcomed our first child and we are embracing the challenges and benefits that come with parenthood.

MBBS MRCGP FRNZCGP
I went to medical school in London qualifying in 1992. I then trained extensively in medicine enjoying speciality training in cardiology. I first came to Taranaki in 1998 where I worked at Base hospital and Hawera in various roles including consultant physician and ED MOSS. I returned to the UK to undertake specialist training in General Practice which I achieved in 2001. I worked as a GP owner partner in the UK for 12 years and then again here in Taranaki for another 8 years. I moved to this practice 4 years ago.
I am an examiner for the RNZCGP and a Fellowship Assessor (assessing GP doctors for their "consultant badge" as a specialist). My special interest remains cardiology and GP training and I still train GP registrars each year.
Outside work I enjoy life at the beach, and love swimming, surfing, and skiing.

Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, tramping, and maintaining my fitness, and I continue to pursue outdoor adventures with my family whenever possible.

MBChB, DCH, FRNZCGP
Although I was born overseas, NZ is my home, having lived here the majority of my life. Prior to moving to New Plymouth in 2007, I was a solo rural GP in Manaia for 17 years and really appreciated being able to raise our two kiwi children in a rural community.
I gained my General Practice Fellowship in 2000 and am working towards my Accreditation in Lifestyle Medicine.
Away from work, my husband and I are kept busy on our lifestyle block. I enjoy keeping fit, supporting my family and helping out at sailing regattas – a sport in which our whole family has been involved for many years.

I really enjoy supporting patients with their health journey, and understanding around medication, why we are using it and how its works. I'm able to prescribe medication for patients I see.
My role can support patients with any medicine related concerns to help optimise their regimen, and also a holistic approach to how lifestyle changes can have an impact on our health and over all wellbeing, without the focus being on medication alone.
I have a special interest in diabetes and menopause medicines, and really enjoy working in this space.
